Job summary

Seminole Gaming is seeking a Steward to oversee cleaning operations in our Food & Beverage departments. You will ensure dishes and silverware are cleaned to required standards and available to meet daily business needs.

The role requires attention to safety, sanitation, and teamwork with the Executive Chef and Directors. You will follow department objectives, participate in meetings, and perform tasks to keep kitchens and public areas orderly and efficient.

Qualifications

  • One year of progressive experience in the Stewards’ Department.
  • Ability to follow department objectives and safety standards.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Follows department objectives, standards, and guidelines to ensure proper operation.
  • Assists in ordering and receiving non-food items; maintains inventory par levels.
  • Inspects equipment; ensures safety and cleanliness; approves replacements.
  • Maintains communication with Executive Chef and Director of F&B.
  • Attends meetings and completes follow-up.
  • Performs work regularly and predictably.
  • Cleans and sanitizes work and public spaces.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

The incumbent in this position is responsible for steward and cleaning operations, ensuring restaurants are supplied with clean dishes and silverware according to business needs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follows and maintains department objectives, standards, and guidelines to ensure proper operation of department.
  • Assists in ordering and receiving all non-food items within the Food & Beverage Department, ensuring adequate par levels of inventory.
  • Inspects equipment and ensures all equipment is in working order and up to Hard Rock safety and cleanliness standards; authorizes replacement parts for equipment in the food departments.
  • Maintains open lines of communications with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
  • Perform work regularly and predictably.
  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a minimum of one-year progressive experience within the Stewards’ Department

  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
