Job Description

Under minimal supervision, the Steward/ess provides direct meal service to patients in a friendly and efficient manner, collects feedback on food and service, and collaborates with leadership to improve quality. Duties include:

  • Delivering food trays accurately using two patient identifiers.
  • Collecting soiled trays and patient feedback.
  • Cleaning service ware and dishwashing procedures.
  • Assembling trays according to prescribed diets promptly.
  • Preparing food and nourishment items per standard orders.
  • Preparing meals and beverages.
  • Proper storage of food and supplies.
  • Maintaining and sanitizing equipment.
  • Adapting to policies and reporting issues.
  • Performing duties safely and mindfully.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • At least one year of food service or related experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Availability for Day shift.
