Job summary

Hank's Seafood Restaurant in Charleston, SC, is seeking a part-time dishwasher to support its kitchen team. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, organized back-of-house and ensuring a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils during busy periods.

You will operate dishwashing machines, hand-wash selected items, and stock the dishware as needed, contributing to a smooth, efficient dining experience.

• Load and unload dishwashing machines
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment accordingly
• Ensure there are enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues

Hank's Seafood Restaurant is located in a turn-of-the-century warehouse overlooking the Charleston City Market. Hank's Seafood has been beautifully renovated to an ambiance that reflects Charleston's port history and family roots.

This individual is a crucial part of the kitchen. This person knows that a successful culinary experience can only be created with sanitized and well-maintained equipment and facilities. Their primary role is to maintain a clean kitchen, properly organize the restaurant and back of house area, and assists with the preparation of food as need.

Requested Tasks
