Job summary

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino is seeking a part-time Steward to maintain the cleanliness and organization of our culinary operation, supporting chefs and service teams to deliver a safe dining experience.

You will operate dishwashing equipment, stock supplies, and collaborate with kitchen colleagues. The role requires physical stamina, good communication, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of all hotel kitchenware including china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and utensils
• Operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment as directed
• Remove trash and recyclables and ensure kitchen and stewarding areas are clean, organized, and safe
• Restock supplies and assist with food preparation support as needed
• Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures in compliance with food safety standards
• Collaborate with the culinary and service teams to support overall kitchen efficiency
• Provide courteous service and assistance to colleagues and occasionally guests

Summary

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness of all hotel kitchenware including china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and utensils

Operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment as directed

Remove trash and recyclables and ensure kitchen and stewarding areas are clean, organized, and safe

Restock supplies and assist with food preparation support as needed

Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures in compliance with food safety standards

Previous stewarding or kitchen experience preferred but not required
