Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Seattle is seeking a Steward - On-Call to support our Food & Beverage outlets with award-winning service. You will clean, sanitize, and maintain kitchenware and equipment, ensuring a spotless and safe work environment in a dynamic hotel setting.

The role requires prior Stewarding experience, a positive demeanor, and the ability to operate standard cleaning equipment. This on-call position offers opportunities for ongoing training and professional growth within the Seattle

Qualifications

• High school education required.
• Experience in Stewarding is preferred.
• Willingness to learn on the job and adapt to duties.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize China, glass, and silver; load/unload from dishwasher and store properly.
• Clean and sanitize ovens, kettles, mixers, and kitchen areas; mop and polish production areas.
• Clean pots, pans, and kitchen utensils with proper solutions.
• Set-up, clean, and operate the silver burnishing machine; route damaged pieces for repair.
• Safely store and use cleaning chemicals with proper protective clothing.
• Organize work assignments and provide input on training and performance.

Four Seasons Hotel Seattle is looking for stewards who shares our passion for excellence and is enthusiastic about creating the ultimate service experience. Our Stewards are a part of a dynamic team that supports all our Food and Beverage outlets in providing award-winning service. This position reports to the Assistant Stewarding Manager. U.S. work authorization is required for this position.

Key Elements of the Job

• Clean and sanitize China, glass, and silver using the dishwashing machine, load and unload dishware and flatware from dishwashing machine and store properly.

• Clean and sanitize all ovens, steam kettles, mixers and other kitchen equipment as well as all kitchen drains, sinks, floors, and walls; clean, dust, seep, mop, polish, scrub, wash, strip, and buff kitchen and pastry shop production areas and hallways.

• Clean and sanitize all pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using the correct cleaning and rinsing solutions.

• Safely set-up, clean, and utilize the silver burnishing machine to clean, polish, sort, and transport silver following a daily or weekly schedule; place damaged or excessively worn pieces in a designated area for repair.

• Safely utilize and store all cleaning compounds, chemicals, and materials including soaking solution utilizing the correct protective clothing.

• Organize work assignments, make recommendations in regard to training, performance evaluations, and discipline for stewards.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• High school education

• Previous experience in Stewarding.

• Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job.

• Ability to operate, maintain and properly clean dishwashing machine, sinks, floor cleaning equipment, and silver burnisher

• A positive and energetic demeanor
