Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality's Virginia Guesthouse in Charlottesville, VA, opens April 2026 as a 214-room hotel with 25,000 sq ft of conference space on the University of Virginia grounds. You’ll join the kitchen team as a Steward, supporting culinary service and guest satisfaction from day one.

You will maintain sanitation logs, lead recycling efforts, and contribute to a safe, efficient work environment. The role requires physical endurance and good communication within a team, with compensation

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily sanitation log for dish machine and manual pot wash.
• Keep work areas ready and communicate items not ready.
• Lead green initiatives by recycling cardboard using the compactor.
• Be energy conscious: turn off lights, conserve water, report leaks.
• Ensure safety in high-traffic areas to prevent slips and falls.
• Use dish and glass racks to prevent breakage of wares.
• Clean and sanitize equipment during slow periods.
• Learn different kitchen tasks and develop new skills.
• Be part of a team and assist in other areas when needed.
• Provide genuine engagement with guests and crew with a smile.
