Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a diligent kitchen porter/dishwasher to maintain clean and orderly cooking areas. Responsibilities include washing dishes, maintaining equipment, stocking storerooms, and transporting supplies within the venue.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of experience in a high-volume kitchen, excellent customer service, and strong communication. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Maintain kitchen areas, equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Stock storeroom and side stations; assist with pallet handling and transport.
• Set up and maintain a clean, safe work area and environment.
• Transport food and equipment throughout the venue.
• Ensure timely delivery of requisitions and supplies.

Job description

THE ROLE

Clean dishes, kitchen, food preparation equipment, or utensils. Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.

Essential Functions

• Monitor stock levels, obtain supplies and equipment as requested per venue.
• Ensures that assigned areas are kept clean and orderly.
• Ensures that requisitions are delivered in a timely manner.
• Assist with emptying pallets and stocking storeroom and side stations.
• Set up and maintain a clean, neat and safe work area.
• Wash all china, glass and silverware.
• Clean all equipment, pots and pans.
• Store all equipment in proper locations.
• Sweep and mop all floors in the kitchen.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Transport food and equipment throughout venue.

Qualifications

• 1 years’ experience in a high volume kitchen area.
• Excellent customer service
• Detail Oriented
• Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
• Must be able to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends and holidays.
