Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego is hiring for a Steward/Dishwasher role. You will maintain cleanliness of china, silverware, and cookware and support guest interactions in a fast-paced hotel setting.

The position requires flexible availability including weeknights, weekends, and holidays, with a PM shift from 4:00pm to 12:30am. Prior stewarding experience is preferred and physical effort is expected.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience in Stewarding.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Physically able to lift and move heavy items and perform repetitive motions.
• Fast-paced environment with constant guest interaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of hotel china, silverware, and cookware.
• Communicate effectively with team members and guests.
• Support a fast-paced dining services environment during shifts.

A Steward or Dishwasher is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all hotel china, silverware, and cookware. This person must have good communication skills and have the ability to lift, pull and push a moderate amount of weight. This is a fast paced position that will involve constant customer interaction. Must have flexible availability including weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

PM Shift Full time

• 4:00pm- 12:30am (8 hours shift)
• Work schedule and time may vary depending on business volume and season

WAGE: The hourly rate for this position is $29.50/hr. This is the pay range for this position that Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications

• 2-3 + years of experience in Stewarding preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting and lifting a moderate amount of weight, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up or down and remain stationary at times throughout work periods.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
