Job Summary

Position: Steward and Dishwasher at the University of South Florida.

Summary: Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or loads them into dishwashing machines, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
• Washes pots, pans, and trays following assigned procedures.
• Polishes silver using appropriate equipment and methods, ensuring cleanliness.
• Ensures compliance with safety procedures.
• Maintains proper temperatures and chemical levels.
• Keeps the dish area organized and safe.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and cleans garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Helps load and unload supplies and products.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
