Job summary

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in New Orleans is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to support the kitchen team by ensuring clean dishes, maintaining sanitation, and keeping the dining areas stocked. Located in the heart of downtown, this role offers a fast-paced environment with opportunities to learn and grow within a luxury property.

You will operate the industrial dishwasher, sort and store items, and follow safety guidelines to help deliver exceptional guest service at our luxury hotel.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues.
• Operate an industrial dishwasher.
• Ensure the kitchen colleagues have the dishes and silverware required and guests have clean dishes.
• Sort, stack dishes, and load/unload dishwasher.
• Sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner.
• Ensure breakages and chipped items are removed from circulation and inventoried.
• Keep floors dry and clean at all times.
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Exposure to hot surfaces and cleaning chemicals.
• Proper use of PPE.
• Other duties as assigned.
