Job summary

Compass Group North America in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is seeking a Steward to maintain kitchen work areas and equipment in clean and orderly condition. The role pays $20.06 per hour and involves daily sanitation duties and food-service support.

Key tasks include sweeping and mopping floors, operating dishwashers and sanitation equipment, washing surfaces and blocks, handling trash, assisting with banquet setup, loading and delivering supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Operates large electric machines such as dishwashers and sanitizers.
• Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators, and prep surfaces.
• Segregates and disposes of trash, and cleans garbage cans.
• Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils and equipment.
• Transfers supplies between storage and work areas with safe lifting.
• Assists with banquet table and front-of-house setup as requested.
• Assists with loading, unloading and delivering supplies and products.
• Distributes supplies and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Perform job duties required to maintain kitchen work areas, kitchen equipment in clean and orderly condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors at appropriate intervals to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Operates large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and all other food prep surfaces as assigned.
• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans in appropriate and assigned areas.
• Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils and other food preparation machines and equipment.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas observing all safe lifting standards.
• Assists with banquet table and front of the house set up as requested.
• Assists with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with all outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
