Job summary

L’Auberge Del Mar is seeking a Steward to keep the hotel kitchens shining and organized, ensuring restaurant kitchenware is spotless and ready for service. You will help with storage areas and contribute to a smooth dining experience for guests.

You will work in a fast-paced coastal California hotel, with attention to detail, teamwork, and a friendly, professional demeanor. The role requires standing long hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per shift).
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, steam, and temperature fluctuations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Job

As a Steward you will have the opportunity to make the hotel shine! Our Stewards are the backbone of the hotel and work diligently to maintain the cleanliness of our kitchens and restaurant kitchenware. The Steward also assists with organizing and cleaning storage areas, as well as preparing for food service. The Steward is a crucial role in which you directly impact the guests stay and have the ability to create memories that will last a lifetime!
