Job summary

Knott’s Berry Farm is seeking a Steward to support kitchen operations and maintain a clean, sanitary work environment. You will handle deliveries, organize food storage, and assist cooks with meal prep in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires ability to drive, work nights and weekends, and pass a background check. It offers a vibrant team atmosphere and opportunities to learn food-service skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive and operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and cohesively as part of a team.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
• Able to pass a background check if 18 years or older, as per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Accepts deliveries and relocates foods, beverages, and supplies to proper locations within Knott's Berry Farm.
• Maintains the kitchen and surrounding areas in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Ensures equipment and dishes are cleaned, sanitized and ready to prepare and serve food.
• Sanitizes counters, stovetops and other food preparation areas to meet health regulations.
• Assists kitchen managers with inventory by organizing food storage and notifying when items need to be ordered.
• Receives and unpacks all deliveries, ensuring correct placement of food and supplies.
• Sweeps and mops floors, changes trash liners, and organizes food storage.
• Ensures ovens, refrigerators, mixers and other equipment are in working order.
• Assists chefs and cooks with washing, peeling and cutting ingredients.

Responsibilities

The Steward is responsible for accepting deliveries and relocating foods, beverages, and supplies to proper locations within Knott's Berry Farm. It is also required to maintain the kitchen and surrounding areas in a clean and sanitary manner.

• Ensures that equipment and dishes are cleaned, sanitized and ready to prepare and serve food.
• Sanitize counters, stovetops and other places where food is prepared to meet health regulations.
• Assists kitchen managers manage inventory by organizing food storage and telling them when items need to be ordered.
• Receives and unpack all deliveries, ensuring all food and supplies are correctly placed.
• Sweeps and mop the floors, wipe out trash cans, change garbage liners and clean and organize food storage.
• Ensures that ovens, refrigerators, mixers and other cooking equipment are in working order.
• Assists chefs and cooks prepare meals by washing, peeling and cutting ingredients.
