Job summary

Isleta Resort & Casino is seeking a dishwashing/ stewarding associate in Albuquerque, NM. You will perform dishwashing, pot washing, and kitchen cleaning while delivering World Class Guest Service.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and to follow safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 months industrial dishwashing experience preferred.
• Must read MSDS as required by OSHA.

Position Summary
Responsible for preforming dishwashing, industrial pot washing services and cleaning while promoting and exhibiting World Class Guest Service to all the Isleta Resort and Casino guests.

• Performs dishwashing and pot washing duties.
• Kitchen and restaurant cleaning responsibilities
• Performs other kitchen duties, as required.
• Reports any violation of policy to the Chief Steward.
• Ensures dishes/pots are properly stacked and meet all the Isleta Resort and Casino’s standards of presentation and quality.
• Ensures safety and sanitation laws are strictly adhered to and reports any health related problems immediately to the Chief Steward. Promotes and ensures an open and welcoming atmosphere that promotes skill enhancement.
• Greets internal and external guests, maintains a friendly and inviting atmosphere, and promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
• Gives basic instruction and information on all promotions and special events, as requested.
• Occasionally performs other duties as assigned.
• Trains others in all Stewarding related duties
• Maintains the standards for guest service as established for the company and for the Stewarding position.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma and/or General Educational Degree (GED) equivalent, preferred.
• Three (3) months industrial dishwashing experience, preferred.

• Must be able to accurately and successfully perform several tasks and meet deadlines under high levels of stress and with minimal supervision.

• Must be able to read and understand MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) as required by OSHA.

Physical Demands and Work Environment.

Must be able to regularly lift, move, push, pull, and/or manipulate heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, and crawl.
Must be able to climb ladders.
Must be able to constantly walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.

Working Conditions:

Work is generally performed in, both, a Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level, and exposure to various lights and sounds. Possible expose to hazards, Blood Borne Pathogens, and unusual elements such as: dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Moderate exposure to dangers and physical risks that may require the use of personal protective equipment (PEP) and may occasionally be required to interact with hostile and/or angry guests.
