Job summary

Jacintoport-International-LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Stevedore Operations Supervisor to oversee vessel operations, supervise loading and discharging, and coordinate with Equipment Operators and stevedores to ensure safe, efficient cargo handling.

Ideal candidate will have forklift experience, leadership skills, and the ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. We offer day-one benefits and a starting rate of $29 per hour with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of industry-related experience in longshore functions or equivalent in port/terminal environments.
• Strong leadership skills with experience supervising warehouse labor and crews.
• Minimum 1 year forklift experience with 9K/30K/52K forklifts; forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak basic English; able to process alpha/numeric information.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and operating guidelines during vessel operations.
• Supervise and coordinate loading and discharge per stow plan.
• Ensure lifting gear is in good condition before use.
• Communicate with staff via two-way radios and observe flagman signals.
• Work with U.S. Customs during cargo operations and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and report incidents promptly.
