Job summary

Cencora is expanding with a new onsite pharmacy location in Sterling, Illinois, and seeks a PRN Staff Pharmacist to join the team. You will dispense medications, verify prescriptions, and provide patient counseling to ensure safe, effective therapy.

The role requires a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy and an active license, with 1–3 years of retail/ambulatory experience. Strong communication and leadership are essential to support operations and patient care.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license through the state board of pharmacy.
• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited school.
• Broad training in business administration, sales, IT and retail/ambulatory pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, prepare, and dispense medications per professional standards and legal requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service and clinical care.
• Consult with prescribers to determine patient care plan and resolve issues.
• Assist in marketing events and promotions and support ambulatory pharmacy goals.
• Manage ambulatory pharmacy staff and schedule to ensure optimal patient care.
