Job summary

Adecco Portugal is seeking a Sterilizer Repair Technician to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain critical sterilization and surgical equipment used by hospitals and labs. You will perform preventive maintenance and installations, traveling locally with a home-based schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience repairing and maintaining Getinge (CASTLE) and/or STERIS (AMSCO) washing, sterilization, or surgical equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain sterilization, washing, and surgical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, installations, and equipment modifications.
• Travel to customer facilities within the Davenport region and surrounding territory.
• Document service activities and educate customers, and build strong customer relationships.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience repairing and maintaining Getinge (CASTLE) and/or STERIS (AMSCO) washing, sterilization, or surgical equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Computer proficiency, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

This is a field-based position involving approximately 60–90% local travel, with customer sites potentially up to three hours from your home base. Technicians return home each night, with typical hours of 7 AM–4 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional emergency service calls may be required.
