Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. is seeking a Sterilizer Repair Technician to serve hospitals, surgery centers, and labs in the Cleveland area. This hands-on field role thrives on troubleshooting, independent work, and building strong customer relationships.

You will install, maintain, and repair sterilization equipment from Getinge CASTLE and Steris AMSCO, perform preventive maintenance, and complete service reports. Travel up to 60–90% locally; schedule typically 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; occasional emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience repairing or maintaining Getinge (CASTLE) and/or Steris (AMSCO) washing, sterilization, or surgical equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with working knowledge of plumbing systems.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Windows-based computer skills and strong communication, organization, and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair sterilization, industrial washing, and surgical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on equipment from Getinge (CASTLE) and Steris (AMSCO).
• Service autoclaves, sterilizers, rack and tunnel washers, bottle fillers, bedding dispensers, blanket warmers, surgical lights, and surgical tables.
• Complete equipment modifications and maintain accurate service reports and inventory records.
• Show customers how to operate equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Plan service visits, follow site safety protocols, and identify equipment upgrades or additional service needs.
