Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking a Sterilization Technician to handle decontamination, cleaning, processing, distribution, storage and sterilization of surgical instrumentation in both the Operating Room and Central Processing area.

You will operate prevacuum steam sterilizers, EO sterilizers, washer sterilizers, decontaminators, and maintain accurate records while ensuring a steady supply of reusable sterile linen and durable patient care equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• One year experience as a Sterilization Technician.
• Proficient in both areas of Central Sterile.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, inspect and assemble surgical instrumentation for the Operating Room and the entire hospital to include offices off campus.
• Operate prevacuum steam sterilizers, ethylene oxide sterilizer, washer sterilizers and decontaminators. Testing sterilizers and maintaining accurate records.
• Maintain a constant supply of reusable sterile linen.
• Decontaminate and process durable patient care equipment.
• Maintain and distribute sterile supplies.
• Greet/receive customers, answer phone.
