Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Sterilizing Tech II to join our full-time rotating schedule. You will disassemble, clean, sterilize, assemble, and stock trays and instruments per procedures, supporting the Operating Rooms and inventory management.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), 1 year of experience in sterile processing and a Sterile Processing certification; basic computer skills and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in sterile processing or healthcare settings
• High School degree or equivalent required
• Sterile Processing certification required
• Basic computer skills and ability to read and communicate in English

Responsibilities

• Disassembles, cleans, assembles, sterilizes, and stores procedure trays, instruments, equipment and supplies per prescribed procedures
• Maintains department supply inventory and dispenses sterile supplies and trays to hospital departments
• Assembles instrument trays with high accuracy using the instrument tracking system
• Performs quality control and cleans/disinfects equipment according to infection control standards
• Prioritizes workload and completes all sterilization documentation
