Job summary

BD in Covington, GA is seeking a Sterilization Operator to assist the Team Leader in operating the sterilization process, moving materials through steps, and documenting activities in our ERP systems. The role emphasizes safety and reliability within a high-volume manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Able to operate material handling equipment.
• Able to prioritize tasks and workflow; planning considers assets (time, equipment, product).
• Knowledge of personal computers.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operates the sterilization process and ancillary equipment.
• Moves material through all steps of the sterilization process.
• Documents all steps in the sterilization process in the JD Edwards and Mfg Pro systems.
• Able to perform all functions as defined in the Warehouse Spore Placer job description and perform post-sterile inspection.
• Initiates maintenance work orders when applicable.
• Maintains plant facilities and equipment with preventative maintenance.
• Participates in safety teams, audits, and process improvements.
• Crucial resource for training sterilization personnel.
