Deibel Laboratories in Madison, WI is hiring a full-time Dishwasher/Lab Aide to support our food safety testing operations. The role involves sterilization, autoclave management, and general lab support in a fast-paced environment with odor and heat exposure.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or technical training, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 250 pounds. Training provided. Competitive hourly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical training preferred.
• Ability to safely push, pull, and maneuver up to 250 pounds.
• Comfort in confined spaces and high-heat conditions.
• Must not be sensitive to strong lab odors.
• Mechanical aptitude or construction experience required.
• Reliable, punctual, able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain autoclaves for sterilization.
• Push/pull loads up to 250 pounds safely.
• Work in small spaces and hot environments during cycles.
• Maintain logs, batch records, and inventory.
• Perform routine autoclave maintenance and cleanup.
• Apply mechanical skills for troubleshooting and upkeep.
• Follow safety and chemical handling procedures.
• Support lab operations through cleaning and stocking.
