Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking an Instrument Equipment Technician to support infection control in our hospital setting. You will identify surgical instrumentation, clean, sterilize, and store equipment, and ensure devices are ready for patient care.

The role emphasizes aseptic technique, decontamination, operating sterilization equipment, and adherence to safety standards. A High School Diploma/GED or 2 years of sterile processing experience is required. Shifts are variable and US-based.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience in equipment sterilization or Instrument or Operating Room Aide or Tech.
• Preferred: Prior experience highly preferred.
• Must be able to work variable shifts in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Identify surgical instrumentation, equipment, and supplies; clean, sterilize, and store properly.
• Demonstrate knowledge of sanitary, infection control, and safety standards for all assignments.
• Operate sterilization equipment and decontaminate, assemble and wrap instruments and equipment.
• Ensure supplies are available and in working condition; replace or repair instruments or equipment as needed.
• Process endoscopes, scopes and/or probes.
