Job summary

UF Health Central Florida is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to support sterile processing in patient care areas under the direction of the unit charge nurse. Responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, disinfecting, inspecting and sterilizing surgical instruments and medical equipment; maintaining code, chest and urology carts; and cleaning hospital-wide equipment as needed.

• Completion of formal central service technician or surgery technologist program.
• Preferred: Previous central service, surgery, or patient care work experience desirable.
