Job summary

The Ohio State University seeks a Sterile Supply Technician II to join the Central Sterile Supply team in the Department of Perioperative Services. You will decontaminate, assemble, wrap, sterilize, and deliver surgical instruments for operative procedures.

Responsibilities include receiving and inspecting instruments, rebuilding sets, and maintaining sterile stores. A background in instrument processing and related education is preferred; third shift, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in instrument processing or relevant care setting preferred.
• Graduation from approved instrument processing training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, decontaminate, and re-build surgical instrument sets.
• Wrap instruments and sterilize for operative use.
• Deliver sterile instrumentation to perioperative services and other departments.
• Maintain instrument processing records and ensure safety standards.
