Job summary

Merck & Co., Rahway, NJ, 1st shift Sterile Production Supervisor role within the FLEx Center. You will manage a team of technicians to ensure daily operations meet GMP, safety, and quality requirements while controlling cost and supporting continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes providing leadership, coordinating with indirect staff, and maintaining Right First Time processes to ensure reliable production of sterile products. Shift timing is 1st shift and may require extended hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Science, Engineering or another technical field or at least 7 years pharma manufacturing experience.
• Minimum (4) years' experience in a functional area such as operations management, Quality, Technical Operations, Technology, Engineering or Maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of a team of technicians and set priorities to meet short-term objectives.
• Ensure GMP compliance, safety, quality and cost targets; review and approve documents as required.
• Operate within budgetary objectives and support site leadership in meeting production goals.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Coach and develop staff, provide feedback and performance evaluations.
