Job summary

Healthcare Enterprises, LLC seeks a Sterile Processing Technician responsible for sterilization, assembly, and maintenance of surgical and medical equipment in a fast-paced OR environment. You will inspect, package, decontaminate instruments, perform daily sterilizer testing, manage inventories, and support OR flow while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience in Central Processing; Ambulatory or Outpatient Surgery experience preferred.
  • Central Service Certification preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with staff and promote a culture of teamwork in the OR suite.
  • Ensure proper decontamination, cleaning, and processing of procedure trays, surgical instruments, and equipment.
  • Assemble and package instrument sets for sterilization, labeling, and quality-control monitoring.
  • Validate the accuracy of instruments/sets from outside sources and document missing items.
  • Perform daily Bowie-Dick and all biological testing on sterilizers; record results and maintain logs.
  • Identify equipment needing repair, notify appropriate parties, and assist in maintenance.
  • Maintain inventories of supplies in the assembly area and report low stock.
  • Prepare surgical case carts using the pick list; inspect packages for integrity and expiration dates.
  • Assist with stripping, cleaning, and setting up the OR suite; support OR flow as required.
  • Adapt to fluctuating staffing needs by adjusting assignments and schedules.
  • Promote teamwork by precepting new caregivers and resolving conflicts effectively.

Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization, assembly, and maintenance of surgical and medical equipment. They inspect, package, clean, and decontaminate instruments, supplies, and procedure trays, ensuring proper function and compliance with manufacturer’s instructions.

Responsibilities

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $20.83/hr—$35/hr plus benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Shift

Per diem opening. Monday‑Friday daytime availability. Free parking provided.
