Job summary

Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Monticello, MS, seeks a DDC Scope/Scrub Sterile Technician to manage processing, sterilization, and storage of supplies and equipment across the hospital. Under supervision, you ensure instruments and trays are ready for all procedures and maintain the instrument tray contents file.

The role requires a high school graduate or GED, preferred Central Sterile experience, and knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and microbiology.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in Central Sterile preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to perform scrub duties and assist in surgical cases.

Responsibilities

• Process, sterilize, and store supplies and equipment used hospital-wide.
• Ensure instruments/trays are assembled and sterilized 100% of the time.
• Restock supplies and return equipment to proper storage area.
• Maintain instrument tray contents file.
• Assist in elective, urgent, emergent and scheduled cases; prep, transport and supervise patients.
• Maintain required certifications and attend annual Healthstream education.
