Emplify Health, a partnership of Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System, is hiring for Sterile Processing Technician positions in La Crosse, WI. The role includes decontaminating, sterilizing, and assembling instruments, with weekend shifts and a trainee pathway.

The position offers 36 hours per week (Friday–Sunday 6:00 AM–6:30 PM) with a weekend premium and comprehensive benefits once oriented. Training is provided for the trainee track.

Qualifications

• Sterile Processing Tech requirements: High School Diploma or equivalency AND completion of an approved surgical tech or sterile processing tech program OR High School Diploma or equivalency AND 1+ years of sterile processing experience
• Sterile Processing Tech Trainee requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a sterile processing cohort/program within 6 months (training provided)
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Interest in a hands-on healthcare career

Location:Main Campus, La Crosse, WI

Department:Central Services

Employment:Full-Time (0.9 FTE, 36 hours/week)

Shift:Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6:00AM – 6:30 PM, Holiday rotation

Employees will receive a Weekend only premium equal to .3333 times base pay for the actual hours worked during these Friday, Saturday and Sunday shifts.

What You’ll Do

• Decontaminate and clean medical instruments
• Perform sterilization processes
• Assemble and package surgical instruments
• Manage storage and distribution of supplies and equipment

You’ll also gain exposure to:

• Infection prevention protocols
• Quality and safety standards
• The full sterile processing lifecycle

After successful orientation you will move into the weekend only position. Orientation will be Monday-Friday on variable shifts.

• Competitive starting pay of $19.05/hour, with additional compensation based on experience
