Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to process and maintain sterile instruments for effective patient care. The technician will organize and restock supplies, ensuring readiness for procedures while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training; experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician or 1 year sterile processing experience in an acute care setting.
• Maintain knowledge in surgical and medical technology through in-services/courses.
• CPR certification.
• Preferred: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician).

Responsibilities

• Process instruments, supplies, and equipment according to established policies and procedures.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels by organizing, labeling, and restocking supplies.
• Identify and report malfunctioning equipment and safety concerns.
• Participate in ongoing education and training programs.
• Support care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies.
