Job summary

Qualifications

• CNA or Surgical Technician preferred.
• Simple mathematical skills, basic writing skills, effective communication and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness and sterility of work area, equipment and instruments according to procedures.
• Operates equipment used for instrument sterilization and prepares equipment before use.
• Monitors sterilization equipment daily and records test results.
• Maintains records of items processed and provides proper paperwork to requesting departments.
• Organizes own work and schedules tasks to meet department needs.
• Transports instrument carts to their correct destinations.
