Job summary

Ridgeview Medical Center is seeking a dedicated team member to perform routine decontamination, reprocessing, and sterilization of supplies for patient care. You will also assist with OR turnover, transport, and coordinating instrument processing with the daily surgical schedule.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma; strong communication, multitasking, and English proficiency are essential. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and ensuring sterility across in-house

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate in English for written and verbal work.
Ability to coordinate instrument processing with daily surgical schedule.
Ability to multitask and respond to unpredictable situations.

Responsibilities

Provides clean and sterile medical/surgical supplies for patient care areas and off-site clinics.
Uses proper techniques for preparation, packaging, and sterilization; applies basic microbiology principles.
Supplies surgical services with required supplies and equipment.
Assembles instruments and supplies for procedures per physicians' preference cards.
Performs sterilization testing and documents results with indicators.
Maintains adequate stock of patient equipment and linen for Surgical Services.
Assists in turnover in OR suites between cases and in patient transportation as needed.
Communicates effectively with team members and participates in quality improvement processes.
