Job summary

MedCadre in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week contract. Start date 2026-11-02 or within a week, evening shifts 3pm-11pm, Monday through Friday, at KC Campus. Will precept new staff and train learners as needed.

Requires 1 year of sterile processing experience and CRCST/CSPDT certification. Travel and float to SPD locations as needed; on-call and weekend requirements apply.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician required.
• CRCST/CSPDT certification is required.
• No new graduates accepted.

Responsibilities

• Precept and mentor new team members or students as needed.
• May float to any SPD locations within the Health System as needed.
• On-call and weekend shifts required as needed by the client.
• Support per standard operating procedures and quality control.

Job description

• Bill Rate: $55 before admin fee
• Class/Area: SPOT-OR
• Start Date: 11/2/26 or 1 week after
• Ori Schedule: Mon & Tues new employee orientation held weekly at KC Campus
• Non-Billable Ori: 8 hours
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Scheduled details: 8hr Evenings; 1500-2300 Monday - Friday
• Weekend Requirement: As needed for call
• Holiday Requirement: Required as needed
• Floating Requirement: May float to any SPD locations within Health System as needed.
• Agency staff will be expected to precept (mentor and train) new team members or students as needed.
• On-Call Requirement: Required as needed by the client
• Experience Requirement: 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician
• Experience Preferred: Previous travel experience preferred
• New graduates accepted? NO
• License/ Certification Requirement: CRCST/CSPDT Certification
• Client Specific Notes :Smoke-free free facility | Client is allowed to cancel 2 shifts per month at no cost to the client and no pay to the THP. Will provide a minimum 2 hour notice.
