Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a full-time night shift (10pm–6:30am), with rotating weekends after training.

You will perform daily cleaning, inspection and sterilization of surgical instruments to support the operating room and outpatient practices, ensuring infection control and regulatory compliance. Sign-on bonus for experienced techs; full benefits on day one; 6 weeks PTO and tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 per year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; CRCST within first year.
• 1-2 years related experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Summary

Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance established procedures, infection control standards, industry standards, recommended practices on sterilization and regulatory requirements.

• Prepares and assembles surgical tray and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing.


• Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No

Licenses and Credentials

Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required within first year of employment.
