Job Description

Responsible for preparing and sterilizing equipment and instruments, tracking them accurately and promptly. This role includes preparing operating room case carts, sterile trays, and supplies across hospital departments. Provides leadership in the absence of management and performs administrative duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Staff & Inventory Management: Foster a motivating environment, develop collaborative relationships, and help manage work schedules. Contribute to onboarding and evaluate staff performance. Maintain stock levels and proper storage within the sterile processing department.
  2. Sterile Processing Clinical Duties: Prepare instrumentation, verify sterilization, decontaminate and reprocess equipment, check for cleanliness and functionality, and document sterilization processes. Prepare case carts based on surgical needs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Sterile Processing Technician certification or CRCST

Preferred Qualifications: Vocational/Technical degree

Compensation

  • Pay Range: $22.04-$27.97
