Job summary

Beacon Health System seeks an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to care for, prepare, and maintain sterile and unsterile instruments, equipment, and supplies. You will identify, inspect, and assemble instrumentation for sterile procedures, sterilize items, and perform quality control checks to ensure readiness for use.

You will also manage inventory, follow departmental procedures, and document processes in Censitrac.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of one year healthcare or materials management experience.
• Certification in central service within twelve months of employment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates instrumentation and disposables following PPE policy.
• Assembles instrumentation per accreditation standards and procedures.
• Sterilizes instrumentation and performs quality control checks.
• Inspects instrumentation for cleanliness and proper working order.
• Maintains accurate inventory and records using Censitrac and other systems.
• Performs other related duties to support department operations.
