Position: Sterile Processing Technician Instructor (CRCST or CSPDT) | Substitute

Location: On-Site | As Needed | Mon-Fri

Essential Functions
  • Implement and evaluate daily lesson plans for students, including scheduled activities and sequence materials.
  • Plan instruction to achieve specific objectives based on student needs and established curriculum.
  • Monitor students' attendance, coordinate with Student Services or the Associate Director for absences, and prepare weekly attendance reports.
  • Review student success rates, implement retention strategies, and maintain an 80% success rate.
  • Maintain student grades, prepare final grades, and update records and transcripts.
  • Evaluate student performance and adjust instruction to meet learning needs.
  • Arrange guest speakers, community service trips, and visits to clinics and medical offices.
  • Prepare lectures and demonstrations for classroom and individual instruction.
  • Assist students with curriculum and monitor academic progress, reporting below-standard grades.
  • Ensure classroom safety and assist with externship coordination as needed.
  • Additional duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology program, or equivalent training from a recognized entity or outside U.S.
  • OR four (4) years of related training and experience in the field.
  • Three (3) years of practical experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or related role.
  • CRCST or CSPDT certification.
  • Current applicable licenses or credentials.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and general computer skills.
Compensation
  • Hourly rate: $27.95 - $34.94
