ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Implement and evaluate daily lesson plans for students, including scheduled activities and sequencing materials.
  • Plan instruction to meet specific objectives based on student needs and curriculum.
  • Monitor student attendance, coordinate with the Student Services Coordinator or Associate Director for absences, and prepare weekly attendance reports.
  • Review student success rates, develop strategies to reduce withdrawals, and maintain an 80% success rate across classes.
  • Maintain student grades according to policies, and prepare final grades for transcripts.
  • Evaluate student performance and adjust instruction to meet learning needs.
  • Organize guest speakers, community service trips, and visits to clinics and medical offices.
  • Prepare lectures and practical demonstrations for classroom and individual instruction.
  • Assist students with the curriculum and monitor academic progress, alerting staff if grades fall below 77%.
  • Ensure classroom safety and assist students during training.
  • Potentially coordinate externships for students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduation from an accredited Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology program, or training from a recognized entity (e.g., hospital-based program), or foreign equivalent.
  • Four (4) years of relevant training and experience if not a graduate of an accredited program.
  • Three (3) years of practical experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or in a related field.
  • CRCST or CSPDT certification.
  • Current legal credentials to work in the field.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and general computer skills.
COMPENSATION
  • Hourly rate: $25.62 to $32.03
