What You Will Do:

• Clean, wrap, sterilize, store, and distribute equipment, supplies, instruments, and endoscopes used in patient care.
• Provide orientation and training to the Sterile Processing Staff.
• Utilize advanced knowledge and skills to facilitate daily functions in accordance with hospital and departmental policies, work instructions, and guidelines.

Candidate Requirements:

Candidates must have an active CRCST/CSPDT/CFER national certificate or be a Certified Surgical Technologist. No provisional certifications are accepted.

What You Will Need:

• High School Diploma or GED
• CRCST/CSPDT/CFER national certification or Certified Surgical Technologist from NBSTSA
• 18 CE credits annually related to the CS field, of a technical nature
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge and skills for Tech II role
• Ability to serve as a preceptor for Sterile Processing
• Completion of Perioperative Services Preceptor class or equivalent training
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of Endo instrumentation function and maintenance (preferred)
• Relevant healthcare experience
