Job summary

Texas Health Plano is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician II to join the Central Sterile Processing team. This full-time role operates in the evenings (2-10:30pm) with on-call rotating weekends, located at 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093.

A high school diploma and CSPDT/CBSPD/CRCST certifications are required or on hire, with prior sterile processing experience preferred. Responsibilities include instrument tray scanning, assembly, wrapping, and tracking using the instrument system,

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CSPDT/CBSPD/CRCST certifications required upon hire or equivalent.
• 1 year of sterile processing experience preferred; recent experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label.
• Demonstrates proper assembly technique for instrument trays.
• Demonstrates wrapping/containing of instruments/tray.
• Performs scanning of instrument trays to track location using the instrument tracking system.
• Demonstrates the proper loading technique for sterilization method.
• Scans prepared items into correct sterilizer load.

Here’s What You Need

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• 1 year of sterile processing experience preferred
• Recent sterile processing experience a plus
• CSPDT – Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician upon hire required or
• CBSPD – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire required or
• CRCST – Certified Registered Central Service Technician upon hire required
