The role ensures proper decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of sterile instrumentation across departments and outside service contracts to support safe patient care. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1 year of sterile processing experience, and knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• 1 year of sterile processing experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing procedures, aseptic technique, medical terminology, and infection control is preferred.
• CRCST certification preferred; IL CRCST must be obtained within 18 months.

Pay Range:$19.00 - $27.55A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.HSHS St. Mary's Hospital is seeking a Central Services Technician to join our surgery team.
