The role involves reprocessing surgical instruments, inspecting for cleanliness, and ensuring sterile supply for operating rooms and nursing units. You will work rotating day and evening shifts with on‑call every fifth weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required.
• Preferred: CRCST credential from HSPA.

• Inspect instruments for cleanliness and damage, ensuring safe, sterile supply to hospital staff.
• Maintain reliable attendance; support 8‑hour or longer shifts.
• Stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs routinely, up to 50 lbs occasionally, push/pull heavy carts.
• Use manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination to handle delicate instruments.
• Work in a fast‑paced, noisy environment; wear PPE to protect from blood/body fluids, chemicals, and other hazards.

• Maintain reliable attendance; support 8‑hour or longer shifts.

Compensation & Schedule

• Hours per pay period: 80.
• Shift rotation: Day/Eve – 7:00 a.m./10:00 a.m./2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m./6:30 p.m./10:30 p.m.
• Weekly hours: 80.
• Compensation range: $19.46 – $26.17 per hour.
• Union: St. Joseph’s SEIU Local 113.
• Required on‑call: Every 5th weekend.
• Call obligations: Yes.
