OrthoNebraska is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech to support the SPD department by decontaminating, inspecting, packaging, and autoclaving instrument sets to ensure sterile equipment for the surgical team.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with Sterile Processing Certification preferred and at least 1 year of surgical experience. This is a full-time, 40-hour week shift from 11am to 7:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Sterile Processing Tech plays an integral part in the day to day operation of the SPD department, by delivering an efficient and flexible service, to safely decontaminate, inspect, package and autoclave medical instrument sets to provide sterile equipment for the end user, ensuring that on a day to day basis, the service meets operational targets and achieves the appropriate quality standards.

Experience: 1+ year of surgical experience preferred.
Physical requirements: This position is classified as Light Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (66% of the time) to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work.
Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment physical and drug testing. Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
