Job summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a full-time role at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. This position is responsible for decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing reusable surgical and clinical instrumentation.

Sterile Processing Technician - Full Time

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. Positions available are Full Time and may include Day and Evening shifts. You will work 8-hour shifts in this role. Schedule options can be discussed during interview.

Under supervision this position is responsible for decontaminating, operationally checking, assembling, sterilizing and distributing reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation and implants throughout the hospital. Operates steam (autoclave), H2O2 sterilizers, sonic equipment, automated washers and heat sealers; stores, dates, rotates and distributes reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation.

Required Qualifications

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Within 1 year of hire National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, or
• Within 1 year of hire National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
• 1 year of experience, or
• Graduate from a central service program.

Pay range: $25.00 - $34.84 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
