Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect, decontaminate, prepare, package, disinfect or sterilize instrumentation per standards.
• Distribute medical and surgical supplies from sterile areas to other departments.
• Follow standard precautions and use PPE.
• Follow safety procedures and manufacturer instructions for cleaning solutions and equipment.
• Operate sterile processing equipment safely per manufacturer instructions.
• Monitor and document results of physical, chemical, and biological indicators for sterilizers.
• Prepare and distribute surgical case carts per physician preference lists.
• Manage inventory with Materials Management for supplies.
• Comply with policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines.
