Job summary

PIH Health is seeking an independent sterile processing technician to perform reprocessing, decontamination, prepping, sterilization and proper handling and storage of surgical instruments. Work is done on-site in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of acute health care experience, knowledge of surgical instruments, and a city fire card within 6 months. Evening shifts available at our Los Angeles facilities.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• 1 year of experience in acute health care.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments and their use.
• Knowledge of supplies and equipment used during sterile processing.
• LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Reprocess and sterilize surgical instruments.
• Maintain and decontaminate instruments and supplies.
• Prepare, handle and store sterile items.
