Job summary

Chadron Hospital in Chadron, NE, seeks a Certified Registered Central Service Technician to support the sterile processing in the surgery department. You will sterilize, decontaminate, assemble, and distribute instruments, operate autoclaves, and ensure infection control and quality records are maintained.

The role requires CRCST certification with BLS, High School diploma, and approximately 400 hours of hands-on training. Training of staff and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of approximately 400 hands-on hours to obtain full CRCST certification.
• Basic computer skills: Word and Excel.
• Preferred CRCST certification and BLS; willingness to train new staff.

Responsibilities

• Sterilize, decontaminate, assemble, and distribute surgical instruments.
• Operate autoclaves and inspect instruments for damage.
• Maintain infection control standards and quality control records.
• Deliver safe, organized instrumentation care for perioperative services.
• Act as patient advocate and protect privacy; train new staff as needed.
• Maintain a safe, efficient environment for the surgical team.
