Job summary

Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center in Eagle Pass, TX is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to support the Operating Room by cleaning, assembling, wrapping, and issuing sterile supplies, and by processing instruments with steam, gas, and chemicals. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic aseptic technique knowledge, and the ability to read and communicate in English.

Certification as CS tech preferred; prior healthcare facility experience is a plus; ability to work

Qualifications

• Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.: Central Sterile Technician Certification preferred.
• Prefer an LVN, C.M.A. or related field.
• Special Skills, Knowledge: At least two years of experience in a health care facility preferred. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Familiar with basic medical terminology. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalency, basic understanding/working knowledge of aseptic technique, able to work independently required. Certification and/or prior CS Tech experience preferred.
