Job summary

Universal Health Services seeks a Full-Time Sterile Processing Technician at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. The role supports Decontamination, Prep and Pack, tray assembly, and sterilization with strict aseptic practices.

Requirements include Sterile Processing Certification or Certified Surgical Technologist, CPR (BCLS), and at least 1 year of Central Supply experience. Reports to the Director of Surgical Services and supports patient care operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sterility and aseptic techniques.
• Experience with decontamination, prep and pack, tray assembly and sterilization.

Responsibilities

Full Time Evening position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA

Reports to the Director of Surgical Services and/or designee. Area of responsibility to include Decontamination, Prep and Pack, tray assembly, sterilization and other duties as assigned. Must have a thorough knowledge of aseptic techniques and procedures, sterilization techniques and procedures, infection control and work flow principles and requirements: demonstrates and exercises responsible judgment to provide necessary supplies and equipment for patient care.

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Knowledge of procedure policies and regulations concerning sterile techniques preferred.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

One year experience in Central Supply preferred.

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

Sterile Processing Certification or Certified Surgical Technologist Certification required.

Surgical Tech Experience Preferred

Current BCLS (CPR) required.
