Job summary

Spring Valley Hospital, part of The Valley Health System, in southwest Las Vegas, seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to manage the reprocessing cycle for surgical instrumentation and support operating rooms. The role is based in a 366-bed hospital that provides emergency care and advanced surgical services.

You will operate ultrasonic cleaners and sterilizers, perform quality monitoring and documentation, assist with inventory, and mentor new staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage reprocessing cycle for surgical instrumentation from disassembly to sterilization.
• Operate ultrasonic cleaners, washers, sterilizers and related equipment.
• Complete quality monitoring and documentation.
• Prepare case carts by picking supplies and instruments.
• Perform quality assurance activities.
• Assist with supply inventory management and clinic instrument rounds.
• Mentor, train, and coach new Sterile Processing Techs.
